President

Hi, I’m Joy. I love to sleep, and I also like biomedical sciences, especially forcing myself to stand in the lab for hours and pipetting things I can’t even see with the naked eye. I founded Inner Workings because I felt extra lonely wanting to go for the medical field, and I am glad I found my people with the same interests and motivation. As a member and the president of IW, I hope to learn more about the intricacies of medicine and the inner workings of the human body. I also hope to be able to inspire and spark potential in future scientists!

Vice President

Hi there! I’m Audrey and I am the vice president of IW. Other than being a part of this amazing club that covers various topics of the medical field, I have a strong passion for going to concerts, watching sad movies, rating cringe pickup lines, and learning about different things in a neurological way. I joined IW mainly because of my interest in the biomedical field and wanting to share my knowledge in hope to inspire many more kids!

Research Officer

Hi I’m Jessica. During my spare time I enjoy listening to music, dancing and eating (ofc). I joined IW with the intention of learning more about the medical field, since I plan to study pharmaceutical sciences or dental hygiene in the future. Not only does IW facilitate my learning journey but also allows me to discuss and collaborate with people who share similar interests with me :) I also hope to spread my passion towards science and knowledge to more children through the STEM Explorers camp!

Lead Curriculum Designer

Hi I’m Leo. I found my passion for biological science when I had biology class during freshman year in highschool. Ever since then it has been my dream to work in the biomedical field in the future. For this reason, I joined IW to learn and explore more about the medical field and the fascinating human body. Through designing curriculum and hosting events with other members of IW, I hope to do my part in helping people and inspiring younger generations.

Hi I’m Gabriel. I joined IW because I love playing sports and I noticed the significance of human biology and medical knowledge when I broke my leg two years ago. I wish to promote medical knowledge and inform younger minds and people around me how to protect themselves from injuries.

Hi I’m Luis, a member of IW. I love playing sports and spending time with animals. I joined IW to learn specifically about the medical field since I plan for studying veterinary. Through IW, I gained valuable insights and connections to help me pursue my passion to study in STEM, and I hope to share the knowledge and inspire the kids at the camp.

Hi, I’m Ben, a member of IW! I love playing volleyball and spending time with friends. I joined IW to broaden my knowledge of biology and the medical field. I’m planning on going to dental school, and I hope to utilize the knowledge I learned from IW with the kids at our STEM explorers camp and in the future.

Hi my name is Mika. In this specific order, I love: Phoebe Bridgers, NYC, water, devastating books and the coronal slice of the brain. I joined IW as I plan to major in neuroscience in college, but I am also passionate in organizing our STEM Explorers camp, as I can (hopefully) inspire more kids to pursue STEM!
